Well, here are 3 easy ways to gain your happy back.
- As soon as your eyes open think about something you enjoy doing and get up and do that. It feels good to look forward to something you enjoy doing.
- As soon as you open your eyes stay in bed and think about a happy moment in the past. What was the thing that brought you the most joy? It could be an accomplishment at work? A birth of a child? The day of your wedding? A craft you are proud of?
- Say a mental thank you of all the things you are grateful for in your life. If you want to, you can write it down in a gratitude journal. Keep it at your bedside and write in it daily.
In the mornings as soon as I wake up, I stay in bed a little while longer and I just start thinking about what my dream life will look like. And I can feel my insides get all excited and start waking up. I also like to keep a daily gratitude notebook near by to write down what I’m thankful for throughout the day before I forget. something else that I like waking up to that makes me smile is the smell of coffee. I also think about what goes well with coffee, like toast, eggs, and pancakes, or even quesadillas. MMMMM. Also when I feel a little extra low.
